Yesterday during third period, Josh Craig made one of his silly rash statements. This particular one was in regards to Tumblr and how he feels that it is “stupid” and “bland”. I explained to him that what I love about Tumblr, is that it is exactly what you want it to be. It is exactly what you desire to expose yourself to.
If you want to see porn all day, just follow the porn blogs and track all the pussy you want, champ.
If you want to surround yourself with hXc culture, just follow blogs about Born of Osiris and the Black Dahlia Murder and read the confessions of that broken-nosed-moshpit-lovin’ teenie bopper. Go for it. You’ll be happier that way.
Tumblr is literally what you make it.
And lately, I’ve really been trying to make mine something great. For the most part, I’ve got a great balance between original writing by the folks I follow, and reblogged pictures, videos, songs, etc. of things that I care about. And it makes me happy. I really dig my dashboard. I know that’s kind of strange to say, but it’s true.
Obviously this isn’t a plug for the greatness of my dashboard. That would be ridiculous. It is absolutely impossible for your Tumblr to be 100% satisfactory, There will always be certain things that make you sick to see.
For example, the superficial bickering that exists on certain posts.
I thought I escaped that when I logged off my Facebook to get on here.
That whole bitchiness thing makes my head hurt.
If you’re considering reblogging and you find yourself preparing to enter into asshole-mode, please reconsider.
It’s too much.
I’m just tryna look at pictures of Auderey Hepburn and read some Ginsberg.
